The C.M.M. Child Development Centre school in Ooty has an enrollment of nearly 800 students. About 337 of these students are solely able to attend because of their direct support from Compassion International. Compassion International exists as a Christian child advocacy ministry that releases children from spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enables them to become responsible adults. Founded in 1952, Compassion now helps more than 1 million children in 25 countries. Koester added that “we will be supporting not only the school, but Compassion International.” Koester visited the CMM school in Ooty on a recent trip to Bangalore on behalf of iSource Worldwide. Koester was accompanied by iSource Worldwide COO Jim Barrell, who has personally sponsored a CMM student through Compassion for several years. Also in attendance was Dr. K. A. Vankatesh, CTO of iSource Worldwide, and head of IT at India’s prestigious Alliance Business Academy in Bangalore. Dr. Vankatesh will act as future liaison between ISW and the C.M.M. school. In addition to financial support, iSource Worldwide is also investigating the logistics involved in donating gently used computers and other equipment from corporations to the school.

He goes on to say, “with the global financial crisis in play, it seems that every day a new rock is overturned with fraud having been committed by the leaders entrusted with our lives and livelihoods.”
